			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you’re looking to do SEO in a smaller geographical area, there are 2 really cool ways you can dominate the search engines.  Let’s suppose you’re a Dentist, Realtor, Carpet Cleaner, or any business that has a limited local reach. </p>
<p>Here’s 2 secrets that will help you dominate your competition… Believe me, this works, and I do it for my clients all the time.<span id="more-128"></span></p>
<p>1. Microsite Building – Step one is to build 5-10 microsites (Small sites) that are SEO friendly and have your local cities in the domain name.  For example, Orlando-Carpet-Cleaners.com.  By using the domain name, and make the content SEO friendly, you can dominate the search engines.  When building microsites, you only have to build one website template, and then you can build several websites from the 1 template.  (You can learn more about this by watching my FREE Videos on this website!)</p>
<p>2. The second way to dominate your business, is to use PPC (Pay Per Click) marketing.  Google Adwords can allow you to affordably control the traffic to your website.  I know, many of you are talking about how you don’t want to deal with paying per click… However, did you know that Google gives a quality score to you based on how you advertise!  The problem is that you’re probably paying way to much per click because you don’t know how to set up your adwords account correctly. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Ok, so as a dentist you’re trying to market your business…  Not to the world, but at least to your city, or geographical area.  Gone are the days of the old yellow pages.  So how do you market your business?</p>
<p>Dentist Internet marketing is the answer.  First of all, keep in mind that 75% of the US is on high speed internet.  Which means, more than 50% use the internet to find businesses, phone numbers, etc.<span id="more-126"></span></p>
<p>A recent study showed that people don’t even keep phone books anymore as they can look things up online.  So, as a dentist, you need to wake up and be sure that you’re marketing online using SEO (search engine optimization) and PPC – Pay Per Click.</p>
<p>The secret to doing this is by leveraging microsites &amp; targeted niche PPC groups.  As an SEO consultant, I’ve doubled and tripled many of my clients businesses using these same stratagies.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>OK mortgage companies… listen up!   You’re right, rate shoppers go online to find rates first.  So how do you get the traffic and conversions?  In 2004, I was in the mortgage business.  I owned a large correspondent lending company in Florida.</p>
<p>It was then that I learned about the power of SEO to help my mortgage business.  When I Googled “Florida Mortgage” there were over 10 Million results.  I was not even in the top 1000.<span id="more-120"></span></p>
<p>My company hired an SEO consultant for $5000.00 to help us… Well, that was a waste of money I’m here to say.  The company did take our $5000.00 and gave some valuable advice… The advice was  to build links and change our meta tags.</p>
<p>Well, to be honest, I didn’t know much about it at the time, but now days I know a lot more.  Eventually we did get our site into the top 10 for Florida Mortgage.  We also added hundreds of other pages to our website.</p>
<p>Little did I know that we were on the verge of breakthrough…  After building links, I ended up in the top p0sition for Florida Mortgage!  To be honest, I didn’t know as much then… and now feats like this would be easy.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Getting top 10 rankings in Google will take 2 very important things.  Over the next couple of minutes I’ll talk about some things you can do to increase your chances of getting top 10 rankings, however keep in mind that nobody can guarantee you will ever get top 10 rankings.</p>
<p>1. Domain name -Your domain name tells Google what your website is about.  So it is important that if you are coming up with a new website that you pick a domain that has your keywords in it.  For example, if you are doing SEO for EBay Tips, then a good domain might be ebaytips.com<span id="more-118"></span></p>
<p>2. Onsite SEO -  The second step is to do good onsite SEO.  Which means set the correct meta settings.  Top 10 rankings in Google will not be attainable if you do not set the title, page name, keywords, &amp; description with the correct keywords.</p>
<p>3. Content – It is also critical that you keep your content 100% unique.  Write it yourself, or hire a professional writer to write your content, but either way, make sure it is 100% unique.  You can double check it at copyscape.com.</p>
<p>4. Link building – Lastly, you’ll need to build links.  Link building is the biggest portion of onsite SEO.  You need to get people to link to you and use the correct anchor texts.  For example, each Link to your site is a vote.  Google gives weight to your links provided they use the correct anchor texts.  So you should be trying to acquire links from sites relevant to yours and also with the right words int the anchor text.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In recent months, we've worked with many small businesses.  And, even some large businesses too!  The issue I keep seeing is that many of these organizations do not have any follow-up in place!  For example, a lead walks right through their front door and they let the lead vanish without every capturing their information for follow-up. </p>
<p>Look at this example...</p>
<p>A man walks in to buy a brand new Hummer H2.  He's not going to buy today no matter how sweet the offer is because he's just finishing up, with his last 3 college tuition payments for his youngest daughter.  After that, he's going to purchase a brand new H2.<span id="more-113"></span></p>

<p>He test drive the SUV!  He Loves It!  He's going to buy it!  But not today!  After the typical pressure by the salesman and even a manager, they realize that he isn't going to purchase.  So, the salesman gives him a card and he quickly puts it in his wallet. </p>
<p>After 3 months, he's back in the marketplace for a NEW H2.  But, now our buyer is back looking for the best deal.  Since there was no software in place, and no automation, our buyer has no idea why he should buy from the dealership he started looking at in the first place.  So, he visits 3 more dealerships and buys from the cheapest, which in fact was not the first one he came to!</p>
<p>Now...  You are saying that marketing automation isn't important???  WRONG!!!  You are saying people always use LOWEST PRICE TO PURCHASE!!!  WRONG!  They purchase based on VALUE!!!! </p>
<p>So, here's how this should have gone down...</p>
<p>Revised Story with Marketing Automation in Place...</p>
<p>A man walks in to buy a brand new Hummer H2.  He's not going to buy today no matter how sweet the offer is because he's just finishing up, with his last 3 college tuition payments for his youngest daughter.  After that, he's going to purchase a brand new H2.</p>
<p>He test drive the SUV!  He Loves It!  He's going to buy it!  But not today!  After the typical pressure by the salesman and even a manager, they realize that he isn't going to purchase.  So, the salesman realizes he needs to automate his follow-up using marketing automation software.  He asks the buyer if he can help him out so he stays in good standing with "boss".  "Mr. Buyer, can you fill out this 30 second survey so that my boss will see that I did my job and you are just not going to buy today?" the sales man asks.  "We'll also through in a FREE Starbucks gift card if you'd be so kind.</p>
<p>The buyer feels bad for waisting the time of the salesman and agrees!</p>
<p>The survey asks a few questions and captures the buyer's email, phone, address, time frame for purchase, and a few other minor details...</p>
<p>The buyer's data is loaded into the marketing automation software...</p>
<p>Day 1 - Email sent from Dealership thanking buyer for coming in. <br />
Day 4 - Postcard comes from Dealership telling buyer that they do oil changes for life on all new car purchases!<br />
Day 10 - Email comes from salesman with a link to their website so they can look at cars online.<br />
Day 16 - Letter comes from dealership with a brochure about the H2 Hummer.  Also a reminder about oil changes for life, and a guarantee certificate for a price match guarantee on any new Hummer Purchase.<br />
Day 23 - Buyer gets a call from the salesman "just following up" with him.<br />
Day 29- Email from Dealership reminding of lowest price guarantee and oil changes for life.</p>
<p>As you can see, these are steps that have been planned out in advance!  It might seem like a lot of work, but the truth is, the marketing automation software does all the work.  All the dealership needs to do is place buyer on the campaign and have someone to manage it. </p>
<p>The result is, the buyer feels loyalty towards the dealership and has a better idea of how that dealership operates. The end result is that he reminds that this dealership will match any price, and since he knows the guys down there, he'll feel more motivated to buy based on the relationship and the tipping point will be, "Oil changes for life"!</p>
<p>Now listen, it doesn't matter if you're selling H2's or selling carpet cleaning services!  The critical thing is that you have a plan in place, and marketing automation software to follow up. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>From time to time I get calls from CEO's asking me if they can pick my brain for a few minutes...  For the most part, I agree that business owners are bright, energetic souls, who love to learn!  CEO's by nature are leaders!  They are smart, often egotistical, and driven by results.  After all, that is how they become CEO's and business owners.</p>
<p>Our conversations typically go like this... For the first 2 minutes, the CEO diagnosis the problem about their marketing and what is wrong.  For the next 7 minutes, I ask a series of questions about their business, marketing, and unique selling proposition.  Here's a sample of some of the questions I ask.<span id="more-110"></span></p>
<p>a. How do you track visitors to your website?<br />
b. How to you track your marketing &amp; conversions?<br />
c. What special offer are you using to generate leads?<br />
d. How are you increasing conversions on your website right now?</p>
<p>Most of the time, the CEO or business owner doesn't track conversions, use split testing, or have an offer or unique selling point, and has no idea that SEO and link building are constants in growing traffic.</p>
<p>My pointed questions often begin to put bullet holes in the reason they were calling me.  "Matt, I agree that these are things that we need to work on, but how can I get more traffic?"  The question is often brought up, the business owner wants more traffic, MORE SALES, and the big one, TOP 10 RANKINGS IN GOOGLE.  But the question isn't really what they want.  Truthfully, they want more sales. </p>
<p>When interviewing a new client, I find that most just want more traffic, better rankings, and they want it fast, and as painless as possible.  But, you have to realize a few things about myself and why "I DO NOT WORK THIS WAY!"</p>
<p>First of all, I have been a CEO and I am a bottom line type of guy as well.  But the bottom line is that there are many angles we have to review before suggesting a SEO package.  For example, the technology of your website, they keywords you're attempting to rank for, the design, and the conversion methods. </p>
<p>Secondly, I am a stickler about working with good businesses, with a understanding of the 4 step method.  If a business has no "offer" and no unique selling point, then it probably isn't a good idea to do SEO until they fix those areas.  Secondly, if a company isn't willing to change, then most likely it is doomed for failure anyway. </p>
<p>As a consultant, it is my job to continue to look at trends, to look inside of the businesses I work with, and to figure out what works and what doesn't.  In conclusion, I'll quickly share with you want works and what doesn't.</p>
<p><strong>What works</strong> - Good clean designs with a great offer on a business that understands USP marketing and list acquisition.  Viral marketing, PPC, lead generation, squeeze pages, and marketing automation that is tracked via landing pages, google analytics, and tracking codes.  It is planned marketing with accountability.  The four step method.</p>
<p><strong>What Fails - </strong>CEO and small business marketing where they throw money like mud at the wall and pray that something sticks.  No tracking, no offer, no USP, poor design, and UNWILLINGNESS TO CHANGE = a business that will not see growth.</p>
<p>I know on this little message today it sounds arrogant.  But this isn't based on hype, this is based on what I see every day with my clients.  My hope for you if your reading this is that as a CEO or Business owner you'll be reminded that being in charge, and being the leader means you must continue to grow and learn.  The quote, "If it ain't broke, then don't try to fix it" is a lie!  It should read, "If it ain't broke, then do split testing to make sure that there isn't a newer model that will pay you 10 times as much money." </p>
<p>Truth be told, for most businesses I consult with, there are better models available.</p>

<p> It is basically a 2 step process!  If you do this, on all of your marketing, you'll see a huge ROI!  Guaranteed!</p>
<p> 1. The first thing is to think of a creative "bait" that you can offer to your prospects.  This will get your prospects to raise their hands and say, "I'm interested!"  Typically you can create an audio CD, booklet, or DVD very affordably.  Depending on what you are selling, there are several ways to make a great free resource. </p>
<p><span id="more-80"></span> Now I want you to think about this for a second.   How many leads and prospects come into your doors every day without you knowing they are there?  How many people visit your websites without contacting you?  How many come into your store without buying something?  How many call your salesmen without ordering?   </p>
<p> Let's face it, you're probably dropping the ball big time! </p>
<p> Now what if everyone who came through your door was offered a "gizmo" or "bait" to see if they are interested!  Imagine if McDonalds offered a coupon for a FREE BIGMAC on public TV?  They would have over a million email addresses in less than 30 minutes!  You come up with an offer and the next thing is that you'll use this offer to capture their information!</p>

<p>It is really a very interesting question.  In your business, I'm sure that budgets are already stretched thin.  You are thinking that you can't afford a wasted expense like hiring a marketing consultant.  I know... I have heard many people say that.  Hiring a marketing consultant is only for big businesses. </p>
<p>90% of my business comes from referrals... <span id="more-89"></span>So, I often don't have to sell my services.  But sometimes, I get a call from someone who is debating hiring a marketing consultant... Someone like yourself perhaps.  Now, for 2 seconds let's talk about two business owners who are looking to grow.</p>
<p><strong>Business Owner 1- </strong>Business owner one has a very tight budget.  However, this year he plans on spending 50K in marketing expenses.  This would be for his phone book, bill boards, PPC marketing campaign, and his 2 part time telemarketers.  He is told by a friend at a networking group about a marketing consultant named Matt Law.  He decides to call Matt, but eventually walks away, and decides <strong>not</strong> to hire Matt Law, the marketing consultant.  The year goes by, and his sales are up by 15%, so he thinks he's made the right decisi0n.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you own a small business or are the CEO, President, or director of any organization, then please listen carefully to what I'm about to tell you.... It is that important!</p>
<p>As a marketing consultant, I meet business owners all the time!  For me, an entrepreneur at heart, I love to hear their stories.  However, I'm amazed at how many business owners are flying by the seat of the pants.</p>
<p>When I opened up my first business, we grew simply because of the market demand for our business.  I worked long hours, and pushed very hard to get my business off the ground.  My staff members did what they thought best.  We all did what we thought best!</p>
<p>There were no systems... No process to our madness... Just people working and working hard.<span id="more-74"></span></p>
<p>About 3 years into our business, things began to get very rocky with one of our employees.  She was very bright, and I paid her very well to keep her happy and her position going correctly.  Because we had no systems in place, our services began to slip.  We were getting many upset customers. </p>
<p>As I was on my way to a meeting one day, I bumped into a CEO friend of mine.  He was a good business man and well respected.  I shared with him some of my concerns about our business.  He said, " Have you read the E-myth?"  For 15 minutes we talked about this book and he shared with me how it helped him and made it possible for his business to grow.  I told him I would check into it.</p>
<p>About 2 weeks later, I picked up the audio version of the book (Emyth Revisited - Michael Gerber) and listed to it on a long trip to Atlanta.  I sat there in awe of the insight that Michael Gerber had on this subject.  It was like a light bulb went off and I realized that my business was in trouble because I was so people dependent and didn't have my ducks in order. </p>
<p>I listed to the book about 3 times, and then I also read it as well.  For me, I have to get things deep inside me so that I can understand them fully.  That often means reading a book several times.</p>
<p>And then it happened, we kept having problems in our business!  Enough was enough... If I wanted my small business to grow, I had to make some changes.  I started implementing Emyth business tips into my small business and we started leveling off.  Systematization &amp; Automation!  My staff heard me say it a million times.  What do we do?  How do we do it?  How do we automate it?  How is it accounted for? </p>
<p>The only person who didn't like it was my staff member who I had highly respected and paid so well.  She was not excited about these changes.  It meant that her job was going to be re-organized and assembled totally different.  So, she fought the changes day in and day out!  About 3 weeks later I found that she was "talking smack" about my wife and I behind our backs.  I had enough of the drama, and confronted here!  She quit on the spot and I was stuck in a small business with nobody on staff that could do her job.</p>

<p>My wife was on staff, and we worked out the position, documented everything, and make checklists for everything.  For the first 2 weeks, we went right through each process and figured out how to systematize the business and make things happen smoothly.  What happened?  Well, the result was that the person I thought was irreplaceable, was actually the biggest hindering block to progress!  My wife did beautifully even though she had no experience!  Not only that, she was able to do more work and have better customer service because nothing slipped through the cracks!</p>
<p>As a marketing consultant, I use the same practices in my business.  Automation &amp; systematization!  If you haven't read Michael Gerber's book, Emyth Revisited, then do yourself a huge favor and read it today!  It is a must and is life changing! </p>
